INVESTMENT PROFILE
We target a wide range of investments. From traditional ones such as financial instruments and real estate, to very modern AI and block-chain technologies. We pride ourselves in our investments into various high-tech startups led by creative and ambitious engineers, designers and managers. In collaboration with family of Scale-Up venture capital funds we invested in:
Altair Semiconductor- contributed several million dollars as part of the total 45 mil USD investment in 2015. Company is responsible for developing microchip technologies for LTE modems. In 2016, company was acquired by Sony for 212 mill USD.
Kaminario- initially participated in the first round of 70 mil USD investment in 2015 and subsequently acted as a lead investor in a next round of 75 mil USD investment in 2017. Company specializes in development of data storage optimization.
Spot.IM - participated in first round of 25 mil USD in 2017. Among other investors were - Insight Partners, Norma Investments and Altair Capital. Company develops social discussion platforms for online publishers, among them CNN and Fox News.
Among other projects invested into by Scale-Up: Reddit, Opendoor real estate purchase and selling platform, Pax producer of electronic cigarettes, Poshmark online marketplace, DataRobot analytical platform and others.
